The Compaction Factor Apparatus is designed to undertake a more precise and sensitive test procedure than the simple slump test. The compacting factor is the ratio between the weight of the partially compacted concrete and the weight of the fully compacted concrete. The apparatus consists from two conical hoppers mounted on a cylinder. The hoppers and the mould are mounted onto a rigid steel frame and are easily removable for cleaning.
